As the Assistant Team Manager (ATM) within the Adult Social Care Mental Health Team, you will play a vital role in the transformation process. Working closely with the Team Manager, you will contribute to the development of a specialist team that supports adults with mental disorders and young people transitioning to adulthood.
We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and innovative ATM to support the growth of our Mental Health Team. This team will provide vital assessment and care management for adults with mental illness and young adults navigating the transition process.
The role will involve:
Supporting Leadership: Assisting the Team Manager in recruiting key positions and building a team capable of handling complex cases. Your role will ensure we meet our statutory obligations under the Care Act, Mental Health Act, Autism Act, while fostering a high-performing service.
Developing Specialist Services: Collaborating with the Team Manager to shape a specialist care model for adults with mental illness, ensuring the implementation of person-centred, legally compliant practices.
Effective Management: Contributing to the leadership of the team, ensuring clarity of direction, maintaining a culture of change, and promoting a performance-driven, team-based environment that motivates and empowers staff.
Practice Improvement & Safeguarding: Supporting the Team Manager in overseeing safeguarding responsibilities, promoting a continuous learning culture and ensuring that service quality meets regulatory standards.
Collaboration & Communication: Developing a robust communication and engagement plan, building strong working relationships with service users, carers, and health colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.
CQC Compliance: Assisting in implementing Key Lines of Enquiry to ensure compliance with CQC standards and contributing to the overall improvement of the service.
Operational Excellence: Helping to establish and maintain a responsive duty system for emergencies, ensuring efficient service delivery at all times.
You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with internal and external partners, including voluntary organisations, to drive successful outcomes across the broader system.
