A great opportunity has arisen to join Bury Safeguarding Partnership as its Manager. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with demonstrable experience of effective partnership working and of setting and delivering, clear priorities and standards within a business framework.
We need someone who is passionate about safeguarding children and adults, who has detailed knowledge and is able to provide a clear understanding of best practice with experience of working with partner agencies at a strategic level. You will be self-motivated and experienced in management and leadership. You will be confident in your knowledge of legislation and statutory guidance, policies and procedures and multi-agency safeguarding arrangements and be able to provide high quality advice, support and operational and strategic guidance across the partnership.
This role is essential to support our aim of continuous improvement of our safeguarding arrangements and front-line multi-agency practice and has management responsibility for the Business Unit.
The successful candidate will oversee and manage the operational delivery of the business unit, by providing high quality support to the partnership, promoting a multi-agency learning culture of high support and high challenge and ensuring compliance with statutory arrangements and procedural and quality assurance frameworks. A key part of the role is to develop and implement the forward work plan for the Partnership, writing and representing reports and analysing information which will make a difference the safety and well-being of children and adults across Bury.
What are we looking for:
You will have extensive experience of working within a multi-agency setting and be confident working with officers at all levels on strategic priorities.
You will be able to influence strategic partners and forge effective relationships across partnerships to develop effective safeguarding arrangements throughout Bury. You will be expected to liaise closely with the three safeguarding leads, independent scrutineer/chair and the chairs of the sub-groups, so experience of working at a senior level is key.
You will play an active role in the work of the Bury Safeguarding Partnership and attend relevant national and regional groups to promote and develop the work of the partnership.
