Berkshire Healthcare have a new opportunity for a qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join our CAMHS East Mental Health Support Team (MHST) as a supervisor in Slough.
We are expanding and developing our MHSTs to reach more young people, delivering the Government’s Mental Health in Schools initiative. You’ll play a key role in a fast-growing service that increases the access and availability of mental health support to children and young people aged 5-17. In this role you'll:
• Support the development and implementation of our MHSTs in schools.
• Provide clinical and supervisory support to EMHPs and CWPs.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
You’ll be organised, compassionate and a strong mentor. You’ll have, or be working towards, your Supervisor Training qualification.

• To be trained and confident in the use of CYP IAPT principles,evidence basedinterventions and routine outcome measures.
• To care co-ordinate and manage a defined caseload of children and young people presenting with emotional health and wellbeing difficulties in schools
• To co-ordinate and deliver individualised care packages / programmes for children and young people and evaluate these programmes, ensuringhigh standardsof practicein accordance withnational guidelines and trust policy.
• To provide day to day clinical and supervisory support for the Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP)/Children Wellbeing Practitioners (CWP).
• Toprovidespecialist mental health advice, consultation and signposted using anoutcome-basedtriage model, to schools
• To provide training toschool staff,parentsand carers in conjunction with colleagues.
• Within schools actively promote the wholeschool basedapproach to developing andmaintainingemotional health and well-being.
• To train and mentor students and less experienced members of the team.
• To act as an autonomous practitioner with an understanding of own limitations and recognition of when to seek support.
• To provide clinical supervision to the team

The“must haves”for this role:
• A qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP)
• Professional Registration with BPS or BABCP.
• Completion of (or currently studying) the Supervisor training qualification (post graduate certificate).
• Demonstrable post qual experience working with children and young people, delivering evidence-based interventions.
• Keen interest in working in a school setting.
