We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Policy & Performance Officer to join our Performance team at BCH. Scale PO 2 - 4 (£37,938 - £39,513 per annum)
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing and maintaining a comprehensive document management system for BCH. You will create and manage a detailed record of BCH policies, identify any gaps, and advise the relevant Head of Service and/or service manager accordingly. Working closely with the Performance & Policy Manager, you will ensure BCH has the systems in place to meet the performance and policy information requirements of stakeholders and the Board.
You will actively contribute to developing and maintaining a strong policy and performance management culture within BCH, ensuring systems and processes evolve to meet the changing needs of internal customers. A key aspect of your role will also include assisting with Data Protection compliance and processing Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
Additionally, you will support the reporting of Tenant Perception Survey results, ensuring accurate data presentation and providing insightful reports to both internal and external clients. You will be responsible for managing policy, information, and records, ensuring that everything is in line with best practices and legal requirements.
You will prepare reports for internal and external clients based on client specifications and play an active role in developing and maintaining systems and processes to meet the needs of internal customers, ensuring BCH continues to enhance its service delivery and performance. Additionally, you will demonstrate the ability to coordinate the work of others, delivering quality outcomes within agreed timescales and overcoming obstacles and constraints to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent experience in a housing-related field, with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex data and reporting systems. Experience with Microsoft Access and Excel is essential, along with the ability to present data to staff at all levels within BCH and partner agencies.
