We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated ECT French Teacher to join our outstanding teaching team. You will be responsible for teaching French to students in Years 7 to 11, with the potential of 6th form, delivering engaging and inspirational lessons that develop and engage our students with a love for language learning. You will be a part of a forward-thinking, collaborative and supportive department that values innovation in teaching and a commitment to student success. We are looking for a team player who will help us to develop and shape the next phase of our journey to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality French lessons to students in Years 7-11, adhering to the national curriculum.
• Inspire students to engage deeply with reading, writing, listening and speaking.
• Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their personal and academic goals.
• Foster a classroom environment based on mutual respect, inclusivity, and a love of learning.
• Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives to promote languages and student development.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school community through extracurricular activities or pastoral support.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Strong subject knowledge of French, with the ability to teach up to GCSE level.
• A passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to student progress and achievement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An understanding and appreciation of the school’s Christian ethos and values.
