The post of Social Worker in the Child and Family Team, Children’s Services completes a number of functions and statutory duties, to include child protection and safeguarding in line with the Children Act (1989) and the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) 2014 Act. The social worker will co-produce proportionate assessments and Care and Support Plans with families and partner agencies, produce court reports and undertake placement of children for Adoption. The social worker will hold a case load supporting children in need of Care and Support, children whose names are on the Child Protection register and Children Looked after.
