Cheshire East Council are recruiting experienced and self-motivated Grade 10 Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHP) to work within its busy, fast paced AMHP Hub.Under the Mental Health Act 1983 (MHA) the local authority has a statutory responsibility to provide Approved Mental Health Professionals and to ensure there are sufficient of their numbers to meet the need of their area. AMHPs exercise functions under the MHA1983, which relate to decisions made about individuals with mental disorders, including the decision to apply for compulsory admission to hospital.The AMHP hub is in place to enable practitioners to respond quickly to requests for an assessment under the MHA and operates between 0900 and 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday and 0900 to 4:30pm on Fridays.You will need to demonstrate...
