A vacancy has arisen for the Musical Director of The Hardynge Choir, Harpenden, Herts, following the appointment of our present MD, Rufus Frowde, to be Artistic Director of the English Chamber Choir. It is anticipated that the new MD will start in September 2024. The Hardynge Choir is a friendly and enthusiastic, non-auditioned SATB choir of about 60 adult members who: * Rehearse on Mondays in term-time from 7:45-9:45pm in Wheathampstead, Herts; * Perform a range of sacred and secular choral works but enjoy variety and new challenges; * Have an excellent long-standing accompanist; * Perform 3/4 concerts a year in local churches and secular venues. Choral Director East Organisation: St Edward the Confessor, Romford St Edward's Church, Romford has an enviable reputation for Church Music. Following the pandemic, we are looking to rebuild our choir on new foundations. First, we're looking for a skilled leader with an appreciation for the Anglican Choral Tradition, who is enthusiastic about working with young people and building choirs. In addition, we're seeking someone who would enjoy working closely with a local primary school on an after-school club basis as part of our engagement with the community.
