Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Undertaking Continuous Professional Development in the core subjects of medical emergencies, Infection Prevention Control (IPC), disinfection and decontamination, radiography and radiation protection, legal and ethical issues, and handling complaints, as recommended by the General Dental Council. Providing treatment in line with the scope of practice for dental hygienists as outlined in the General Dental Council publication 'Scope of Practice'.
