The post holder will be the identified lead in the absence of the ward manager. Their role involves collaboration with the Ward manager in ensuring delivery of high calibre care, and efficient use offacilities, manpower and other resources. There is an exciting opportunity for a full time Consultant in Acute Medicine to join the existing team working across WTWA Hospitals. The Acute Medical and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) team includes 11 consultants with a breadth of specialty knowledge. We are supported by an excellent multidisciplinary team. This includes 3 Advanced care practitioners, one consultant nurse, 2 pharmacists, 3 physician associates, occupational and physiotherapists, discharge facilitators, locally employed senior and junior clinical fellows and rotating doctors in training.
