As a Social Work Support Officer or for short ‘SWSO’ you will provide a family support service to parents/ carers and children & young people 0-16yrs, taking a key worker approach whilst safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing and improving life chances. SWSO will promote contact with children and their families. This will include transporting children and possibly parents to and from venues. SWSO will be required to write up the record of contact and this may be used in the court arena.As SWSO will be directly managed by the Advanced Social Work Practitioner within your team. There is a natural mix of support families in their home, placement, community and working in the office.
