Job overview The Learning & Development Department are looking for a Reception Supervisor & Centre Technician Assistant to join our Education & Development Administration Service team on a 12 month fixed-term contract.  You'll be supervising the reception team and working with the Centre Technician to support facilitators and report any technical issues as required. Your duties will be varied with a need for a high level of accuracy, excellent IT skills and the ability to prioritise workload.  You will also be providing a high level of customer service to visitors to the department, so great interpersonal skills are a must.  The Education & Development Administration Service team is made up of around 22 staff members. This includes the fluid preserved collections, numbering some 20,000 jars. This material is due to be transferred to the new Collections Storage Facility (CSF), currently being built in Swindon, where a separate purpose-built fluid store is being constructed. We are about to embark on a 12-month project to prepare the fluid preserved collections held at the Museum for transport to the CSF in 2027.
